Hello and welcome to another blog. The 'MEDIA' suggests that you are ether healthy weight or obese but that is not the case! I am a very low weight teenager who gets pressured to put on weight but its harder than you think. I do a lot of swimming and athletics training and trying to put on weight at the same time is hard but I try my best. I know I wont be the only one going through this but I may be the only person who talks about it. the thing is that trying to eat a lot of calories healthily is not easy as all things that we are meant to eat are not calorie dense as everybody thinks the whole world is trying to lose weight.
Here are a few ideas for high calorie yet healthy foods:
- nuts and nut butters
- oils
- avocado's
- dried fruit
- pasta (carbohydrates)
- dark chocolate (much healthier than milk or white)
- vegetables drizzled in olive oil
these are just a few ideas and ill perhaps incorporate a few recipe's in later blogs.
If you are like me and you are going through this you assume that you must eat more McDonalds or really high calorie junk food but that is one of the worst things you can do, you want a balanced diet eat junk food in moderation.
Thank you for reading this, it was quite a personal topic. I hope this has helped you and ill see you soon.

As the mum of an underweight teenager I know exactly what you and your parents are going through. My daughter has to eat over 3000 calories a day just to not lose weight. She does NOT have an eating disorder she is just very active. Any suggestions gratefully received
ReplyDeletejust keep her eating healthy and active while eating high calorie foods and everything will be fine :)
